A UNITED KINGDOM PARLIAMENT DELEGATION VISITED SOMALILAND

                                          
The United Kingdom parliament led by the Head of Somaliland UK mission H.E. Abdi A. Hersi visited Somaliland. On arrival, the delegation was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs DR. Essa Kayd Mohamoud and several government officials, as well as prominent community leaders.

                                          
The visit follows the debate tabled by The Rt Hon Gavin Williamson CBE MP, calling on the UK Government to recognize Somaliland as a sovereign State, and while in the country, the delegation will meet top government officials and members from the finance and business sector, as well as politicians from the three parties. 

                              
A friend of Somaliland and a supporter of the country’s quest for recognition, the Rt Hon Gavin Williamson CBE MP last visited Somaliland in January 2019.
